Capabilities include:

Shot Blasting - All production begins in the plate blast area where steel and other metals are stripped and profiled ahead of manufacturing.  TransTech Fabrication has custom designed its blast cabinet and plate feed facilities to rapidly and economically blast plate to meet with all related steel structures painting council (SSPC) profile and cleanliness standards.

Cutting - TransTech Fabrication has consistently invested in the latest cutting equipment to maintain its leading edge fabrication capabilities. Most recent additions include the ESAB Avenger series oxy fuel gantry system with CNC controls. This unit consists of two cutting heads holding three torches each to cut and bevel two plates—simultaneously.

Rolling - The heart of TransTech Fabrication’s roll forming operation is its four roll, double initial pinch plate roll. Also CNC controlled, this machine has a 2 1/2" initial pinch capacity for plate up to 122" and a 3 1/2": maximum bending capacity.

Fitting - Shell fit up is performed with our own custom developed machine designed to deliver superior fit up performance.  Fit up of cylinders up to 16’ in diameter and with surface misalignment of 1 mm or less is consistently achieved.

Welding - All welding operations are performed by our own in-house team of experienced, AWS-certified welders. As many as 3 ID girth welds are welded simultaneously by one operator at a remote console. The ID lance carries a total of 6 weld heads to allow either the single or tandem arc welding process on cylinders up to 120' long.

Coating - With our state-of-the-art coatings building—consisting of two 525 lineal feet parallel blast and paint runs—TransTech Fabrication has the ability to blast and paint tubular structures of 16’ diameter with lengths up to 200’.

Material Handling - Our in-plant material handling is accomplished by four 20 T cranes in our metal forming bay, and by a 20 T and two 50 T cranes in the fit up and welding bay areas—giving TransTech Fabrication the ability to lift and move up to 100 tons at any given time.
